Drug Uses
Casodex is a supplementary remedy in treatment of different types of prostate cancer. It is usually used with other medicines and can be also with other conditions. Casodex blocks testosterone and thus slows down growth of cancer cells.

How Taken
Take Casodex tablets at the same once a day with or without meal. Sometimes patients start with low doses and increase it gradually thus determining the most suitable dosage and personal reaction to it. Carefully follow you doctor’s prescriptions and advice. Always finish taking you full course even if your condition has improved.  Use Casodex together with other oncology meds prescribed. Feel free to ask your doctor about everything you don’t understand, as better awareness of a patient helps to control and adjust the treatment.

Warnings/Precautions
Make your doctor aware if you have allergies to any components. Your dosage should be adjusted if you ever had a heart attack, stroke, liver diseases. Tell your doctor if you are already taking other drugs and herbal meds as they may in interact with Casodex. Always finish taking you full course even if the condition of your hair has improved. Casodex is intended for men only. Women and children should NEVER use this product. Women should not hold the product as it may penetrate through skin and get to blood thus causing minor hormonal misbalance. Be careful not to miss appoints with your doctor. If Casodex causes diarrhea tell your doctor to get additional treatment. Your doctor is likely to advice you certain diet, strictly follow it, as fat and fried food can cause additional damage to your liver. Casodex cannot be used by children as it was never tested for them.

Missed Dose
If you happen to miss a dose compensate it at once when you remember. If it is already time for your next dose simply continue your taking schedule. If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. Never double your dose.

Possible Side Effects
Some of the Possible Side Effects are- abnormal skin sensations; anxiety; arthritis; back pain; bone pain; breast growth or pain; bronchitis; constipation; decreased sexual ability; depression; diarrhea; dizziness; frequent urination; gas; hot flashes; impotence; increased cough; indigestion; infection; loss of bladder control; muscle weakness; nausea; pain; pelvic pain; rash; runny nose; sleeplessness; sore throat; sweating; urinary retention; weakness; weight change. Get immediate medical help if you feel any severe allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives)

Storage
The medication should be stored away from heat, moisture and light at room temperature, between 59 – 86 °F (15 – 30 °C). Keep it away from children.

Overdose
If overdose is suspected seek medical attention immediately.

More Information
Casodex may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. These effects may worsen if Casodex is taken with alcohol. Use Casodex with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. Follow the diet and exercise program given to you by your health care provider. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Casodex should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
