Drug Uses
Levitra (Bayer brand) directs blood flow into the penis by relaxing mussels.  Intensive blood flow helps to achieve erection. However the drug use will result in no effect if no sexual desire is experienced.

How Taken
Levitra tablets are taken by mouth with or without food. It is recommended to use Levitra as needed; generally it makes an hour before sexual activity. Usually the dosage is 20mg a day; however a lower dose can be taken every 24 - 36 hours in case of unexpected sexual activity. Never exceed the dose and schedule prescribed by your doctor.

Warnings/Precautions
Levitra should not be taken if you are using drugs containing nitrates or nitric oxide, if you suffer from uncontrolled blood pressure (both high and low) and especially if you had a stroke or heart attack. Lacoste intolerant patients should not take Levitra. Never combine Levitra and grapefruit juice as unpleasant side effects may arise. Patients over 65 tend to experience more side effects. These patients should be very careful when taking Levitra and monitor their general health condition. Do not perform any unsafe operations such as driving, lifting heavy loads and etc. unless your reaction to the medication is determined. If any negative symptoms develop or worsen, contact you doctor. The product should be taken by men only.

Missed Dose
Levitra is used only when needed, so a missed dose cannot happen. However do not exceed your prescribed dose and schedule, as the enhancing effect won’t improve, but side effects will worsen.

Possible Side Effects
Among the possible negative side effects are- headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, flushing, and stuffy or runny nose. Search medical help if any of these negative side effects do not ease off in several hours. Levitra can cause back pain and muscle aches from 12 up to 24 hours.

Storage
The medication should be stored away from heat, moisture and light at room temperature, between 59 – 86 °F (15 – 30 °C). Keep it away from children.

Overdose
If overdose is suspected seek medical attention immediately. Some of the possible symptoms of Levitra overdose are- chest pain, back pain, dizziness, an irregular heartbeat, abnormal vision and swelling of the ankles or legs.

More Information
Avoid combining Levitra with nitrates, alpha–blockers and recreational drugs containing nitrates called "poppers" as it may result in dropping your blood pressure or cause other serious negative side effects. Make your doctor aware if you are sensitive or allergic to any component of Levitra. Dosage and schedule should be determined by your doctor. Seek medical help if your erection causes pain or lasts longer than 4 hours.
